          Join the Chinatown YMCA's Chinese New Year Run for the Kids! This event raises funds for the YMCA's youth and teen programs.  This year, proceeds will help benefit PEP, the Physical Education Program serving more than 1,600 youth from Chinatown and the surrounding neighborhoods daily with free fitness, nutrition and wellness programs.. More than 1,500 runners/walkers are expected with 300 volunteers participating in the 2015 Chinese New Year Run. The Run/Walk scenic route starts at Grant and California Street, winds its way through Chinatown,North Beach,& Financial District and finishes on Kearny between California and Sacramento. Pre-registration is $38, late registration on race day is $43.  The cost includes a T-shirt and finish line goodies for all runners, as well as random prizes and age group awards. Special award this year for the best-dressed Monkey! Come join one of San Francisco's most unique foot races.

          Race: Starting at Grant Ave. and Sacramento Street, the race winds its way through Chinatown, North Beach & Financial District, and finishes on Kearny Street and Sacramento Street. The course has some short hills and is mostly flat. 10k participants do the 5k course twice.

          Parking: Available at the Sutter/Stockton Garage or the Portsmouth Square Garage (Kearny/Clay Street). Muni bus line #1, #30 or #45. Sweat check-in is not available.

          Race Day Registration/Restrooms: Registration starts at 7:00 am at Chinatown YMCA.

          Post-Race: YMCA will be at Portsmouth Square at the end of the race with post-event awards, refreshments, and fun for the family!.

          Awards:
          All participants receive a unique T-shirt and finish line goodies, as well as other prizes. Special award this year for the best-dressed Rooster! There will be post-race activities, sponsor booths, and awards presentation at Portsmouth Square.
